Project for ecological regeneration in the Natura 2000 Serra de Boumort-Collegats area, through the development of actions to improve the conservation status of threatened species and naturalize their ecological processes.
Conservation project Przewalski's horses from the Miranda Foundation, and ecosystems in the Boumort Reserve.
This is a Unique project at national and European level, due to the dimensions of the space it provides for these horses and the research in these areas.
Contribute to conservation of the species and recovery of the ecological function of the horse ,and that this is useful to improve ecosystem functionality and key processes, such as roles of herbivores.
Establish a adequate population of Przewalski's horses in the Boumort Reserve that allows a positive and significant impact for:
- Promote research and scientific studies on the roles of horses in the natural environment and their reintroduction into the ecosystem.
- Environmental education and outreach. Projects for schools and institutions.
- Local dynamization. Involve entities and establishments in the area, and at the same time generate resources for the territory.
