Camí de Marina-Fundació Miranda collects an award for the freedom of horses.

An award for the freedom of horses that show us how we have the territory!

On November 2nd we premiered the documentary Camí de Marina in a two-hour film version at the Suncine Festival at the French Institute of Barcelona.

A piece full of beauty, denunciation, hope and conscience for which we have received the Sol d'Or award for outreach work for environmental conservation!

An honor that we have shared, represented by our president Rosa Galindo Solés with Carles Caparrós i Obiols, director of the Aiguafilms film, the award is presented to us by Claudio Lauria, director of the Festival.

The very young and impressive activist for the Amazon, Francisco Activista, has also been awarded.

Gracies!

A story about will.

Finally, the documentary that we began filming seven years ago, on our first transhumance along the Camí Ramader de Marina, which goes from the Pyrenees to the sea, and in which the horses recovered from the Miranda Foundation came back to life, after seventy years of silence, will see the light of day.

On that occasion we accompanied the first group of horses from Pla de l'Orri (Alt Berguedà) to the Garraf Park where they would spend the winter.

In the summer they would return to Pla de l'Orri, our original headquarters, which we must leave definitively this winter, due to the lack of resources to sustain it and the complication that this space at 1750 meters of altitude poses during the winter.

The documentary signed by the award-winning documentary filmmaker Carles Caparrós and the Aigua Films Team, and co-produced with the Barcelona Provincial Council, TV3, ICEC, XCN, Pau Costa Foundation, IDAPA, CRM Association... It accompanies our descent towards Garraf, passing through Montserrat, crossing roads, industrial estates, and towns, until we reach the sea... A road movie at the rhythm of a horse... About the collapse of the territory.

A transhumance that highlights how we have the territory and the confluence of socio-economic, cultural and environmental interests, in addition to highlighting crucial issues such as sustainability or the climate.

The documentary will be broadcast on October 31 on TV3 (Nonfiction program) with the 60-minute version, and will inaugurate the Barcelona's Suncine film and environment festival el November 2 at 19 p.m., with the two-hour feature film version.

This year Suncine celebrates 30 years, making it the oldest festival in the world!

A woman in an orange jacket and hat guides a brown horse with a light mane, while another person walks beside her.

“With our clothes on and little else. This is how we did the Camí de Marina accompanying the horses”
Who thought of recovering the Camí de Marina for horse transhumance, to bring them from the Pyrenees to Garraf? Rosa Galindo, founder and president of the Miranda Foundation, had been thinking about the idea for a while. She needed grazing space for the horses that the Foundation takes care of. And the experience has left a deep mark on her.
