After eleven years of pastoral management in the Garraf Park, the Miranda Foundation announces the closure of this stage and the destination of its herds of pottoka to new territories, where they will continue to perform their ecological function.
Destination in the Pyrenees: The main group of horses moves to Aristot (Alt Urgell), expanding the foundation's presence around Cadí.
Destination Tiana: A second group joins the 9 Pins Reserve (Ca l'Andreu), where they will help with landscape management and fire prevention.
We ask the administrations for a clear and courageous commitment: less bureaucracy, more trust and more facilities to promote extensive herbivory projects as a tool for fire prevention and from ecological restorationIn a context of climate emergency, we cannot afford to waste solutions that have already proven their effectiveness. Every hectare managed with large herbivores today is another opportunity to prevent the big fires of tomorrow.
