Who is it for?
For people who like walking in the mountains, horses, challenges and tranquility, with a desire to disconnect and experiences to connect with themselves! (activity for adults, accompanied young people from 14 years old).
Basic or essential things to bring:
Comfortable shoes and clothes for going in the mountains, warm clothes, spare shoes, raincoat, yellow vest (car), cap, gloves, knife, sunscreen, backpack to carry lunch and water during the route, bottle to fill with water, headlamp, small suitcase with the most essentials (it will travel in the assistance car and should not take up too much space) and you must bring a tent or the necessary equipment for camping.
Other interesting facts:
To do the transhumance on foot you need to be in good physical shape. The stages last about 6 or 7 hours (between 18 and 24 km per day) with uneven terrain.
But don't worry!!! If you can't walk that much and want to accompany us, we give you the possibility of acting as an assistance car (or alternating car and foot), an essential role for the crossings with carts and support for people who will walk and horses.
If you choose this option, you must state it in your registration.
The daily cost of sleeping and eating is around 35/60 euros.
Taxi costs will be shared to retrieve the vehicle on the last day or to leave it at the end point and go to the starting point to begin the transhumance (depending on whether you accompany us for the entire route or just the weekend).
There are short stops for lunch, so we recommend bringing a sandwich or nuts, fruit, chocolate, energy foods that you can bring from home or order to the accommodation the night before. We have dinner early at each accommodation, and the food is ovo lacto vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options. Please advise if your diet is vegan or if you have any intolerances.
A few days before we will create a WhatsApp group to provide detailed information, such as departure time and place, and where you can ask any questions you need and clarify any last-minute doubts.
