WALKING WITH THE FREE HORSES. SHORT TRANSHUMANITY!
October 8, 2023,10, 00:XNUMX - 14:00
| Free - €35,00Life is movement. The horse is movement.
Graze to walk and walk to graze.
Do you want to experience Nature and Movement?
Accompany the Movement of a herd of horses in freedom! You can live the experience of Transhumance within the territory of Garraf. We move from the space where we have been in recent months towards the winter pastures in the Parc del Garraf.
Nature has designed the Horse as a being prepared to survive in the natural environment, and if it has a group, pasture and water, it does not need humans to thrive. The Horses of the Miranda Foundation graze freely all year round, while improving the territory, returning health and balance to our forests, and constituting an agent of biodiversity, and a very powerful factor in the fight against fire.
We work with nature and not against it, and that is why the management of the herds is done in the most sustainable way, respecting the family and friendship bonds that the horses establish, and saving the high and anti-ecological cost of purchasing and transporting dry grass to supplement their diet.
You will walk with free horses for about 3 hours., being part of the herd in motion. A unique and enriching way to share with the Horses. An experience that connects Horses, People and Nature. Short transhumance and coexistence of union with a small herd of Horses recovered by the Miranda Foundation.
The Movement is carried out for the welfare of the Horses, and to guarantee their self-sufficiency and nutrition. We leave one place to spend a few months in another and thus guarantee the regeneration and health of the pasture and biodiversity (environment), and that of the equines.
Generally, the route does not have significant elevation changes. It is an activity where you walk at a fairly brisk pace for approximately 7-8 km. Once you start, you cannot stop. It is more of a walk than a stroll.
Who is it for?
To anyone who wants to contact the horses through respect, listening, and approaching their natural environmentAdults and children over 8 years old.
The activity may be canceled if the weather is not suitable or if there are not enough people registered.
