
HORSES IN THE PARK – EUROPEAN PARKS DAY

| FreeEuropean Parks Day commemorates the declaration of the first European national parks in Sweden on May 24th. From May 22 to June 5, Nature Week begins, which ends with World Environment Day (June 5)It has been organized since 2017 by the Nature Conservation Network.
The Miranda Foundation collaborates with this free activity to celebrate this international day.
The activity consists of a presentation of the Miranda Foundation and a guided walk to find the herd of free-ranging pottokes ponies in the forest pastures. There will be an explanation of the behavior and life of this mammal in its natural context and how it has adapted to the natural environment of Garraf.
A morning in the middle of Nature to learn about the importance of the presence of Free Horses in Garraf Park for Biodiversity and fire prevention.
Generally, the walk does not exceed 4 km and the elevation changes are quite accessible to enjoy as a family.

The guide will create a WhatsApp group for the activity to finalise details the day before the activity.
The activity may be cancelled if the weather is not suitable or if there are not enough people registered.
What we recommend to bringing:
Drink, small breakfast, comfortable and warm clothes depending on the weather, shoes to move freely and walk on the mountain.
