THE HORSES IN THE PARK

A morning visiting the Pottokas in Garraf and its surroundings!

The activity consists of a presentation of the Miranda Foundation and on a guided tour to find the Pottokas in the pastures in their  Natural enviroment to discover who they really are, how they organise their lives in a herd, how they communicate with each other, how they interact with humans, understand their social relationships, friendship bonds, systemic order, their life stories... There will be an explanation of the behavior and life of this mammal in its natural context. You will be able to meet and have contact with the Free Horses, a truly enriching and unique experience.

This activity is free for children who are members of Club Super3

The guide will create a WhatsApp group for the activity to finalise details the day before the activity.
The activity may be cancelled if the weather is not suitable or if there are not enough people registered.

Who is it aimed at?
Anyone who wants to connect with horses through respect, listening, and approaching their natural environment.

- Welcome
– Presentation of the Miranda Foundation
– Guided walk through Garraf Park to find the herds
Ethological visit and contact with the horses ,learning about the natural environment.
– Closing of the activity

What we recommend to bringing:
Drinks, a light breakfast, comfortable and warm clothing depending on the weather, and footwear that allows you to move around and walk in the mountains freely.

This activity is co-financed by Rewilding Europe,as part of the RIBA project to renaturalise Mediterranean ecosystems through equine grazing. In this case, the project involves Pottoka ponies from Lucy Rees initiative, in Piornal (Extremadura).
