 “Forgotten plants” This is a project funded by the Biodiversity Foundation which includes theaction in 280 hectares of 10 forest estates located throughout the Catalan territory.

The “Forgotten Plants” project has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

The aim is to develop and promote the forest food uses, focusing on the aranyó, the grataculs, the green pine cone, the shepherd's cherry and the acorn. And it is articulated from a triple perspective: the revitalization of the rural economy, the improvement of forest biodiversity i theincreasing the resilience of forests to the risks of climate change.

The initiative is promoted by three entities in the field of agroecology (Emys Foundation, Sambucus i Exarcolating), the EtnoBioFiC research group of the University of Barcelona and the Nature Conservation Network.
