La sherpa is a mare that has not suffered abuse. She arrived with her mother and two sisters, from Equilivre France friendly project, where they lived freely and in herds since birth. Our purpose in bringing them was to introduce health energy and references to living in freedom to the groups of horses rescued and recovered by the Foundation.
And so they did. Like a spreading oil slick, Sherpa and her little family were fully and progressively integrated. They chose different groups of our constellation of horses to continue their lives in freedom. It was their time to emancipate themselves and create new bonds, and we took advantage of it to inoculate the essence of freedom, and survival in the natural environment to the horses that arrived from a life broken by humans.
Nature tends towards balance, and this brought us to the herds, the presence of four "wild" mares with a free and independent spirit.
His intelligence in seeking resources, solutions, his initiative... A role model for horses whose essence had been stolen by man.
Sherpa, despite not having been abused, and being a very young mare. She has already had a life full of learning and difficult moments, such as the loss of her son, the great CADÍ, who died due to a veterinary error, in the fall of 2019 and whom we miss. Sometimes it seems that her noble presence of shy appearance, fierce heart and great beauty, accompanies her mother and her herd with the elegance of a prince and the sweetness of an eternal bond!
Sherpa has become related and has forged solid and family ties with the Gaia group. Currently and in the absence of two main mares of this group, Gaia and Kashmir who are temporarily in the recovery area, she has decided to return to the group of one of her sisters, Pic en Cel.
