Ethologist Lucy Rees entrusts the Miranda Foundation with a group of exceptional pottoka ponies to graze in the Garraf Park (in the Municipality of Olivella) with the support of the organization Rewilding Europe, and the European Wildlife Comeback Fund.

On March 6, a herd of six Pottoka ponies arrived at Garraf Park to continue the work of fire prevention and conservation of the territory.

The Garraf Park has some very special new inhabitants: a herd of pottoka ponies from the project by renowned ethologist Lucy ReesThis arrival represents much more than a renaturalization, It is an alliance between conservation and love for horses.

With the arrival of eight ponies, two of which were recently born, The Miranda Foundation strengthens its commitment to fire prevention and land regeneration. Its presence also allows for coexistence with protected species such as the Mediterranean turtle and the Bonelli's eagle, which depend on the preservation of these habitats.

This collaboration between Lucy Rees , Rewilding Europe, the Barcelona Provincial Council, the Olivella City Council and the Miranda Foundation It represents a determined commitment to respect for natural processes and the search for new ways of living with the environment.
